Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Most of the time now days people are afraid of helping someone because there is a chance that the person you're trying to help could be a creep and want to hurt you in some way for some reason.
Tonight I was on my way to get gas and I saw a car stuck in the ditch. They couldn't have been there for more than a minute or two when I got there.
I had a moment of hesitation and then the thought ran through my head "What if that was you over there and no-one offered to help you. How would you feel about that?"... So I went over to the car that was buried in snow about two and a half feet deep and tried to push it out of the ditch. Well, we weren't able to get it out ourselves so we were going to look for some help maybe in the station or whatnot and there was a man and his wife in a rather large diesel truck leaving when they saw us walking together to get help and they backed up and talked to us for a minute. They were able to pull him out and everything turned out well for everyone and even though I wasn't able to get that car out myself, it at least gave me the opportunity to do something God told me to do in my heart.

It's not always about succeeding in what you do but rather doing what God tells you to do whole heartedly no matter what the results may be.
